Happy October, everyone! It seems that fall is upon us today and the weather reminded me to put a reminder in my blog about making sure your children are prepared for our crazy Colorado weather. Please be sure to have your child bring a jacket/sweatshirt everyday to school in case the weather changes unexpectedly. Students will always go out to recess unless it is raining/snowing or the temperature is frigid. Thank you!

ALL STUDENTS HAVE BEEN GIVEN A REFLECTION PACKET TO WORK ON AND TURN IN ON WEDNESDAY OF THIS WEEK (10/3). IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THIS PACKET, THEY NEED ACCESS TO THEIR GRADES ON INFINITE CAMPUS. PLEASE ASSIST THEM IN GATHERING THE NEEDED INFORMATION.

Religion
This week we will begin studying for the Lesson 1 – 4 test that is scheduled for October 10th. All students completed a study guide today and answers have been checked. Students should be studying DAILY for the test. Lectio will be done in class this week, so there will not be any formal homework due this week.
Math
DeWolfe: This week, we will continue working on chapter 2 – Whole Number Multiplication and Division. All students have been asked to continue practicing their multiplication facts at home for 5 – 10 minutes a night. We will focus on division this week, but students will also continue working on their multiplication skills. Students will be given a small quiz on Wednesday over multiplication and division basic terms and processes.
Science
We have wrapped up Chapter 3 and will be moving on to Chapter 4 next week. Students will be receiving a study guide for the test today. The test will be given on Tuesday, October 9th. There is a blank Respiratory and Circulatory Diagrams sheet in the Teacher Resources area on my blog. These diagrams will be on the test so I would recommend a copy (or two or three) be printed off and used to practice/study for the test.
Social Studies
Ancient American Artifact presentations will be given on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We will begin Chapter 2 after we return from the long weekend.
