Today your child received a letter to give to you about the “Called to Protect” program we will be teaching next week.  Please be sure to read the information and only return the bottom portion of the letter if you do NOT want your child to be a part of the lessons.

This week, we will be discussing fractions as division expressions and decimals.  We will also practice making improper fractions into mixed numbers and mixed numbers into improper fractions.  Please remember that in 2nd trimester, homework grades will be based on accuracy, not just completion.  Students can anticipate a small quiz by the end of this week.

Before break, we began discussing weather in science.  We will continue reading and learning about weather, climate, and tools used to predict weather.

Social Studies

We will be wrapping up chapter 3 by Wednesday of this week.  Students will have a test over this chapter on Tuesday, December 4th.  All students were given a study guide today and that study guide is due on Thursday.  Quizlets have already been made and the links are on the second page of the study guide.  I will also post them in the resources area on my blog.
