Religion

Today, we began our traditional Advent Prayer Service in class.  All students will be taking turns leading the service and/or reading the Scripture passage that aligns with their Jesse Tree Ornament.  By the time we leave for Christmas Break, our tree will be fully revealed!

Today we began the “Called to Protect” program.  Again, this program is designed to help teach your children everyday safety as well as safety on the Internet.  Please feel free to ask them questions about what they learned in class!  Lectio Divina Week 14 is due on Friday, December 7th, as well as Second Step Week 10.

Math

We are moving through converting fractions to decimals nicely thus far.  I am hoping to be covering adding and subtracting mixed numbers by the end of the week.  I will probably be giving the students a small quiz by Wednesday since we ran out of time for it last week.

Science

We are wrapping up chapter 8 today (Monday) and will be moving on to chapter 9 on Wednesday.  There will NOT be a chapter test as the Weather Diorama was used as the assessment grade for this chapter.

Social Studies

Students will be having their test over chapter 3 tomorrow, Tuesday, December 4th.  All students were given a study guide last week and Quizlets have already been posted in the resources area on my blog.  We will begin our study of the 13 Colonies on Wednesday of this week.
