Last week, we began our study of the Sacraments of Communion of Service.  We will finish with studying Holy Orders and then continue to Holy Matrimony this week.  The Sacraments of Service of Communion Quiz will be on Thursday, May 2nd.

Students will be bringing home a permission slip today for our trip to Mother Cabrini Shrine on June 4th.  We are asking for 10 (5 per class) parent chaperones/drivers to help us out that day.  Please see your child’s letter about the trip for more information.

Students will continue working on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals this week.  We will wrap up our decimals unit next week with a test at the end of the week.

Social Studies

Last week, we began our study of the War of 1812.  Students will be filling out a map of the various battles of 1812 and will be responsible for knowing that map in it’s entirety by May 9th as there will be a test on it.  I have posted a blank copy of the map in my resources section for them to print and practice on.  Students are also in for a treat…Mrs. Espinosa is going to be giving an awesome presentation on the people of the War of 1812!!  I can hardly wait!

This week we will be talking in depth about Newton’s Laws of Motion.  Today we discussed Newton’s First Law of Motion and we will continue with the others throughout the week.  The next test is scheduled for May 8th…but will keep you posted if the date changes.
