LOOKING BACK AT LAST WEEK
RELIGION – We learned about the events of Holy Week. We discussed the main details of the liturgy for Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord. We learned that the liturgy begins with the blessing of the palms, which often takes place outside the church, and the procession of palms into the church for the celebration of the Mass.
MATH – We will start Chapter 13, Addition and Subtraction to 40.
LANGUAGE ARTS – In Unit 10, Lesson 1 we reviewed long and short vowel i. Our Read Aloud stories this week were Uncle Sam and Our Song and Our Flag. Reading skills that we worked on included summarizing and answering questions. We learned that conjunctions are words that join other words to words, phrases to phrases, and sentences to sentences. We read decodable book 106 and it went home last week. I hope they continue to read to you at home!
