What: 5th Annual Stuff the Bus Diaper Drive Sponsored by BETA

When: All of Lent

Where: We will collect diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6 are most needed) in carline, bins located in the entrance to the school, preschool, RE office and the Church entrances.

AND: We will collect change/cash each week in our Fasting Friday’s baby bottles in each classroom. The grade who collects the most money during Lent will be awarded a prize. This is a GREAT way to incorporate Almsgiving into your young kids Lenten journey! Our first collection is this THURSDAY MARCH 7!

Why: STM Catholic School has collected over 220,000 diapers for needy families over the past 4 years during our diaper drive! Please help us achieve our goal of 50,000 this year!

This week we will be continuing the Sacraments of Healing: Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick.  Students will have a take-home quiz on the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation this week.  I will be sending the quiz home on Tuesday and it is due first thing in the morning on Thursday, March 21st.

We will continue to work on triangles this week and hopefully wrap up the chapter before we leave for Spring Break.  Students can anticipate a quiz by the end of the week.

We will continue working on Chapter 11 this week with a few labs on mixtures and solutions and buoyancy.  We will be having a special guest speaker (Mr. Haubert) on Friday and he will be talking to the kiddos about energy and the benefits/products as well as responsible energy consumption as it relates to being good stewards in our faith.  Thank you, Mr. Haubert!!

Social Studies

Students will be finishing their 3D renderings of their battles by Tuesday.  Presentations of the posters, the Reader’s Theater skits, and 3D presentations will begin on Wednesday.  Posters and 3D renderings are being put in the hall today so come take a peek if you have a chance!
