Week of January 14-18, 2019
Week at a Glance:
Math-we will be working on multiplication, with 2s, 5s, and 10s, utilizing the strategies of verbal and finger skip counting. Students will also be solving multiplication word problems.
Open Court-we are learning about multiple meaning words and reviewing homophones. We are working on the Comprehension Strategies: Asking and Answering Questions, Making Predictions, Compare and Contrast, Author’s Purpose, and Fluency. Phonics-reading words with ew, ue, u, and u_e. Story: “Hungry Little Hare”
Religion– we are learning that the Ten Commandments are a guide to help us make right choices. The first three Commandments tell us how to love God. The other seven Commandments tell us how to love others.
